Becoming A Successful Wealthy Affiliate Marketer

One of the oldest and fastest ways of making money on the internet is affiliate marketing. The industry of affiliate marketing has made many people wealthy and there's no reason why you can't do the same.

In fact if you don't have a list or a website to begin with, affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to kick off your home based internet business.

Affiliate marketing is basically a cooperative effort between the affiliate and the merchant to advertise and sell the merchant's product. As the affiliate you make commission on every sale of the merchant's product that is affected as a result of your marketing efforts. But it isn't only the affiliate that stands to gain from this understanding.

Affiliate marketing is a phenomenon that creates a situation where everybody wins. For the merchant, their product is spread over the web, allowing them to reach out to a far greater number of prospects without having to spend a single penny on advertising campaigns. While, the affiliate, that's you, can earn a real income without actually having any product of your own.

Some affiliate programs help you to multiply your income as is the case with two tier affiliate programs, where you make commission not just on your sales, but on your affiliate team's sales as well.

Here, you are the master affiliate and you can recruit and train other people to sell the same merchant's products while earning commission on all of their sales as well. Such a system can generate a healthy monthly income for you.

Another great feature of affiliate marketing is that there are no restrictions on the number of products you can promote. So you can promote as many products as you like, thus choosing your own income.

To start your career as an affiliate, also known as an associate or reseller, you need to take three basic steps. These are:

1. Set up a Landing Page.

2. Capture the names and email addresses of your prospects and build a List.

3. You should then follow up with auto responder email series to promote products to your prospects over and over again.

This way, not only can you a build a fresh list to sell to at present but even when you finally do have your own product, you will already have a list of prospects to cater to.

Studies have shown that as more and more people get onto the internet and the World Wide Web grows, the affiliate marketing industry will continue to flourish. So there's always more room for people join the affiliate marketing bandwagon and reap the benefits. In other words, it doesn't matter if you want to make some extra cash or a build lifetime income, you can start generating some very real profits with affiliate marketing today!

What Is Pergo Flooring?

Pergo is a pretty well-known term, but it's one of those names that doesn't exactly describe itself. What's a "pergo" anyway? Real estate agents and home improvement gurus throw the word around as if you're automatically supposed to know what it means. Well, if you've been wondering, here's the lowdown:

Pergo is just a name brand for a type of laminate flooring. It's basically a company's name. Granted, Pergo is more well known that a lot of other manufacturers, but in the end, it's probably not worth paying more for "Pergo floors."

Now if you're new to all this, you might not be that clear on what laminate flooring is either. Basically it's a material that's made to look like hardwood. It's made of synthetic materials (or sometimes synthetic materials combined with natural ingredients) that are topped with a wood-styled design.

The main benefit to laminate (including Pergo) is that it's cheaper to buy than hardwood floors, but it still looks good. It's also easier to care for than hardwood (it's pretty impervious to scratches and dents and doesn't need to be refinished periodically). Lastly, laminate floors can be installed by do-it-yourself types, whereas hardwoods typically need professional installation.

Despite these perks, many homeowners still prefer hardwoods to laminate. Wood is a tried and true flooring material that lasts for generations (while laminate is relatively new to the flooring world and, despite decades-long guarantees, has yet to be proven). Also, wood feels warmer and softer underfoot, and it's all natural.

So, hopefully, the big Pergo question has been answered now. It's just a type of laminate flooring.

What Is Web Conferencing?

Web conferencing is a wonderful way to use the internet to relay information. Its convenient and a great time and money saver for all parties involved. One of the predominate methods of sharing information in a business setting has always been the conference. While this usually means a bunch of people getting together in a large room, technology has now expanded this option to include people from different geographic locations meeting on the web. Web conferencing has applications not only in business, but also for families and friends that are located in different places but still want to get together.

Adding a conference call service to your companies list of tools might seem like a frivolous expense, but the benefits of web conferencing are sure to outweigh the costs. Now you can meet with colleagues who are miles away without having to travel by car or plane.

A web conference lets you share information in ways that are quite different than the simple audio conference call. Some of the applications for web conferencing include:

Sharing Files and Applications - On a web conference you can use your space to share files or run applications. This is great for technical meetings where you want to get everyone working on the project on the same page or to illustrate a problem or defect.

Sharing Websites or Online Data - You can surf the web to illustrate a point or show the other people in the meeting a new website or perhaps even critique a competitors web site.

Powerpoint Presentations - We all know how much executives love power point presentations and with web conferencing you can still use this standard mode of communicating information.

Text Messaging - Web conferencing has an option where the attendees can text in their messages. This is great for holding a Q&A session after the meeting. People can text in their questions which can be held until the end. This way a Q&A can be done in an orderly manner and everyone can see the questions coming up so they wont have to duplicate it if they wanted to ask the same thing.

Web conferencing has applications in brainstorming solutions for a customer problem. It works particularly well when you have a team on-site. This way they can conference back to yoru headquarters to get everyone up to speed with visuals of the problem. Its also a good solution for companies with satellite branches where the staff needs to communicate on a deeper level than just using an audio conference.

A business can find many different offerings for a web conferencing solution. There are different applications targeting different needs as well as different pricing structures. Businesses can expect to find two levels of payment - flat rate and per minute. The flat rate works on a monthly fee which can be $25.00 a month or more. The per minute is a charge per minute per person and can cost up to 50 cents per minute per participant.

Legal Music Downloads

On July 28, 2004, French Internet access providers and music copyright owners signed a joint national charter aimed at cracking down on illegal downloads and expanding the amount of legal music tracks available online (AFP). This is the latest in a series of moves taken across the world to combat music piracy as production labels see more and more of their profits being lost to illegal downloads of music files.

The music industry has been saying the same thing for several years now: peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks are exponentially distributing pirated music across the world through the Internet, and this constitutes a copyright infringement. In English, this means that the fact that I downloaded a Tori Amos track through Kazaa yesterday and am listening to it right now makes me a criminal. So far, so good. Quite true as well.

But the real problem is not that people do not want to pay for music. Often I sample new music off the Internet before buying the CDs. Chances are that if I like most of the album, Im going to buy it. On the surface this is what radio stations do when they play music. The difference, however, is that it has become insanely easy for me to acquire almost-as-good-as-original quality mp3s of any track that I want to listen to, and even if I dont pay a dime, no one is there to catch me.

The principle of accountability has vanished. When one sees that there are two ways to acquire the same product, but by sacrificing a little bit of quality you can get it for free without being penalized for it, what would most rational people do? P2P networks have made finding music off the Internet ridiculously easy, and most of us tend to forget our social responsibility when it comes to such trivial matters. To contribute to this, copy-protection techniques used on CDs by major production houses are always a step behind the latest cracking algorithms, and steps taken to prevent ripping of CDs and DVDs have proven fruitless so far.

Enter music downloads of the legal kind. Disregarding the small number of free legal music available for promotional purposes, more and more artists and labels have begun to provide a pay-per-download music service. In essence, you can purchase individual tracks or complete albums through a secure online transaction and then download your purchase and, with variable limits to personal use, pretty much do whatever you want to do with it (Several providers digitally encode the files to prevent them from being played on other computers, or to be burned onto CD-Rs) This is both a move to encourage free-riders such as me to start acquiring legal music and an economic adjustment to the digital music revolution. Developing technologies are changing the way people perceive and use music. The advent of iPod and other mp3 players has meant that more and more people are becoming accustomed to carrying around their complete music collections with the latest players offering space for around 10,000 songs. This holds frightening possibilities for record companies. There is a very real concern within the industry that the CD format is fast going out of style, and as technology evolves, consumer demands for the best medium will change as well. Till a few years ago audio CDs offered unparalleled music quality, a factor record companies used to encourage people to buy instead of steal (download). However, todays high-quality digital formats mean that audio quality is comparable, and in some cases equal to, CDs. Some experts are even starting to predict that within a decade CDs will become history as digital music will evolve to a point where we will be have access to our entire music collection (hopefully paid for) wherever we want it: in our car, at work, anywhere in the house, even on the beach. Matched with promises (and the reality) of audio quality, this is a serious threat to traditional business.

Thus, providing legal music online is a means of the industry trying to position itself to take advantage of the rising trend of portable music collections. A quick glance across major online music stores tells us exactly so. While offering free-riders affordable music (allowing them to purchase only the tracks they like instead of forcing them to buy the complete album) to ensure that they do not turn to music piracy, sites like eMusic and Apples iTunes are backing the new trend. iTunes, Apples online music store, has the added distinction of being supported by perhaps the best mp3 player in the business, the iPod. In this combination, Apple has found a very secure marketing brand and ensured that it takes full advantage of this cross between technology and music.

Legal music downloads appear to be the perfect answer to stopping music piracy, at least the downloading kind. Therefore there is no surprise when one sees major record labels pushing to expand such services. However, recent developments tend to make us question what the overall agenda really is. After a period of consolidation of the digital music market in the last two years, albums available for download online are being priced higher than they would normally be in retail stores. It used to be that you could download a song for $0.99 and a complete album for $9.99, but now stores are setting higher prices, with tracks going for $1.50 or even $2.49 and $11.50 albums being sold for $12.50 and $13.00 online. What is going on? In positioning themselves to take advantage of changing market forces, the music industry has also hit upon another major factor in determining sales: consumer behavior. Legal music downloads offer people like me the comfort of never having to waste time in retail stores looking for my favorite track from high-school days or wondering when the latest album of Nickelback would hit the shelves. Instead, all the hassles are removed with everything easily searchable, previewable and downloadable from the comfort of my computer chair (and this baby is very, very, comfortable). Consumers may not be usually rational, but they are always looking to save the effort when it comes to making any sort of purchases. Online stores (or is it the major recording labels? Who knows) are now cashing into this very aspect of human psychology and are beginning to charge extra for a service they are portraying now as a privilege. Having already consolidated their core target market, the time has now come to increase revenues.

Would this drive people back towards music piracy? Highly unlikely. People are not evil, or criminal, by nature. Appeals to their better nature usually work, and that is the strategy adopted by agencies like the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) who are actively involved in putting a stop to illegal music sharing. Media campaigns encouraging music lovers to pay a dollar or two for tracks instead of committing a crime by downloading them for free are actually working as slowly but surely, more and more people flock to online music stores. And with existing customers sticking to this more comfortable way of buying music, the industry is finally starting to win back ground it lost due to music piracy.

The lawsuit for mesothelioma allows a person to file the case if the disease has developed through the exposure of asbestos. Mesothelioma laws provide you with various law firms, resources, settlements and law services.

The Code of Federal Regulations [Title 29, Volume 8, Part 1926] states that asbestos is considered one of the most hazardous and toxic substances. This chapter completely informs you about various regulations and assessments for the person who has the exposure to asbestos.

A mesothelioma lawsuit can be filed by any of the person?s family members in case that person has passed away. One can claim compensation if that person has developed the deadliest mesothelioma through the exposure of asbestos. Mesothelioma is a different kind of cancer that could have been prevented easily from developing. It is caused by the fault of outsiders like the irresponsible firms that have made no protection against exposure to asbestos. Pet Insurance

Home, auto, health, life and now PET insurance! Although it has been around for some time, pet insurance is now becoming more common in the US marketplace. This years poisoned food scare has really shown how vulnerable our pets are to illness and disease. With all the advances in veterinary medicine and resulting expense the health care of a loved pet can be as expensive as a child these days. With a comprehensive pet insurance plan in place you can base life changing treatment decisions on your pet's health rather than the costs.

Insurance for pets is available from a wide variety of sources with many available coverage options and plans. Just like your health insurance you can purchase coverage for almost any level of protection you choose. There are plans for basic sickness or injury expenses, deluxe plans to cover nearly every type illness, accident or injury and even routine care and examination plans. The market has become so popular and competitive that some plans even cover dental work, chiropractic care and acupuncture treatments.

The variety of pets covered can be as wide as todays pet market. Dog and cat insurance coverage remain the basis of most companies plans, with many companies now offering Bird and Exotic Pet plans as well. So if you want to insure that parrot, iguana or potbellied pig you should be able to find a plan and insurance company to suit your needs.

Pet insurance has many similarities to our health insurance. There are coverage limits, conditions, exceptions for pre-existing conditions, deductibles, co-pays and lifetime amount limits. One important and beneficial difference is choice of care provider. With pet insurance you can usually use any veterinarian you want or have available. You do not have to choose from 'provider network'. also you do not need to get anything pre-approved; you are free to take the action needed for your pet's health protection then present your claim.

Another and not so beneficial difference is out of pocket expense. Generally pet insurance plans pay you after the claim is made; you may have to pay the veterinarian or caretaker bill prior to receiving reimbursement.

The policies typically have deductibles, co-pays and lifetime limits. The deductible will usually apply to each occurrence which can be an accident, injury or illness. Subsequent treatments for the same condition will not require another deductible. Typical deductibles range from $50 to $250. Most policies also have a co-pay percentage, this is the amount of the final covered expense the insurance company will pay. Co-pays are generally 80% or 90%.

One important thing to watch out for is benefit schedules. You want to avoid companies that have fixed benefit schedules. This means they have set a price for certain procedures/treatments and will only allow that much regardless of the actual charge. This can make a low deductible plan with high co-pay actually cost you much more in the long run than a high deductible with a lower co-pay percentage.

Where to get pet insurance? An easy first step is to ask your current veterinarian, they may have a plan they recommend or work with. But, don't stop there, research the market on the internet. The difference in plans can be dramatic when it comes time to make a claim. Be sure to review the companies' policy, exclusions and benefits as well as their history, reputation and financial standing.

Things to look for in pet insurance policies;

  • No network of required providers
  • No fixed benefit schedule
  • Coverage for:
  • Diagnostic testing; MRI, Cat-scans, X-rays
  • Specialists, Hospitalization, Cancer treatments, Prescriptions
  • After hours/ emergency treatments
  • Multi-pet discount
  • Claim processing time
  • History & reputation of company
Insuring your pet is a great idea and the many plans and options available make it easy and affordable to do. You can take comfort in having a valuable family member covered for injuries, illness, disease and even poisoned food that can happen at any age. After all animals are living creatures and susceptible to having health problems and accidents just as we do.

GPS Cell Phones Help with Directions-Finding Loved Ones

Question: you have an emergency while on the road and call 911 from your cell phone; do you have to give your location to the operator or can he locate you automatically? Answer: if your cell phone has been manufactured after 2005, he can almost certainly locate you automatically thanks to a FCC rule that went completely into effect at the end of '05.

The directive, called E911 (short for Enhanced 911), mandates that all new cell phones support location identification technology, meaning that when you dial 911 from your mobile, the public safety answering point (PSAP) can locate you as accurately as within 60 yards of where you are. The main technology that makes this possible is GPS--or Global Positioning System.

How GPS Technology Works

Essentially, GPS technology works this way. Your cell phone emits radio waves that are picked up by orbiting satellites. It takes three satellites to work together to locate the handset, using a geometric technique called trilateration: the phone's waves create a spherical signal around each of the three satellites, and where these spheres intersect on the ground is the location of the cell phone.

Besides this important role in helping locate wireless 911 callers, GPS technology has some great commercial applications when linked to cell phones. So, although practically all new phones have basic location identification technology that satisfies the E911 directive, some known as GPS phones include advanced features that give the user some unique benefits.

GPS Cell Phone Applications

One of the most popular application of GPS phones is providing the user with turn-by-turn driving directions--both in the form of spoken pre-recorded indications and in the form of a map on the phone's screen. Until a few years ago, this technology was only available on luxury cars (remember the movie The Out-of-Towners?); now, it is as inexpensive and convenient as a GPS phone and a plan that supports it. Some of these services have become so advanced that when you miss a turn, the phone instantly finds the next best route to your destination and takes you from there.

A GPS phone can also be a viable all-in-one tool in the hands of a hiker or outdoors person who can know exactly where he is without the traditional aid of a map and compass. The only caveat is that in order for the GPS service to work, the phone must be physically located within the carrier's service area--in other words, if you are lost in the wilderness and your phone doesn't have a signal, you better have that old-fashioned map and compass as a backup, or it's al fresco time.

Also, many parents are finding GPS technology to be a convenient and non-interfering way to keep tabs on their kids' whereabouts. For instance, Sprint's Family Locator Service uses GPS technology to locate the kid's phone and give parents the location information both in map and text format on their own handset--as long as both phones are GPS enabled.

How Much GPS Cell Phone Service Costs

So what does it take to have this service? The two essential things you need are a GPS-enabled cell phone and a service that supports it. Although practically all new phones now have the basic E911 location identification feature, only a few models are fully GPS enabled. Nextel was the first wireless carrier offering GPS-enabled cell phones, featuring either the TeleNav (Telenavigation) or the ViaMoto (Motorola) GPS systems. And as far as carriers, Sprint and Nextel are the ones who broke new ground by offering plans that include GPS services. Nextel is now running some interesting cell phone deals also on phones featuring GPS technology.

If this technology sounds interesting to you, typical cost (beyond your regular cell phone service) is within $10 a month, which is not a lot considering the great benefits you get from it.
