Choosing The Right MLM Business Opportunity

Here are some things to consider when choosing an MLM business opportunity.

- Does the person presenting the opportunity offer their contact information?

You will need at least an e-mail address, and preferably a phone number. This is so you can contact them before you join and get a feel for what kind of sponsor they will be. After all, your sponsor will be the one to either train you or refer you to the proper training areas within the program. Your sponsor should also be available if you have questions or problems, and a good sponsor can also mean spillover for you in some programs.

- Can you also find the main company contact information?

This may be through direct phone, teleconference, videoconference, or e-mail.

- What kind of support will you get?

Can you find the support details? Including - how to get in touch if there is a problem, support guarantees, when you can get support (9 to 5 or 24x7?), etc. Make sure you test the support after you join to make sure you are getting good response time.

- Is there a trial offer?

Some MLM business opportunities offer a low priced, or sometimes free trial - make sure you understand what this involves. Some companies allow you to build your downlines during the trial, but these downlines disappear once you upgrade! Make sure you are clear on your free trial - including whether or not you have access to all features.

- What are the training procedures (if any)?

The most important thing in any mlm business opportunity is duplication - so the company or at least your sponsor should be able to offer some form of training for you and your downline(s).

- How are you paid?

On how many levels? What is the detailed compensation plan? What is the maximum number of referrals and commission per level? Are there different bonuses, requirements, fees, or any other considerations?

And, what I think is the most important:

What is the product or service?

After all, an MLM business opportunity is entirely based on the product or service you sell!

There are opportunities that offer great products, service, and support, but these have been eclipsed by the 'almost-legal' pyramid schemes that just sell a weak or useless product to remain 'legal' and gain more members. If the focus of your MLM is mostly based on recruiting - get out!

On the other hand, if you find an MLM business opportunity where you see that the products, training, and support are fully described and you can communicate with various members of the organization, go for it! You should find easy success with this opportunity.

Think about it - if you are immediately excited by the products and opportunity, and these alone are worth paying for, you will be eager to share the products or service with everyone! Don't you think your downline will be much easier to train this way? Now go find that exciting opportunity!

To your success in all of your ventures!

Mesothelioma Book - Review

"Lean on Me" Cancer through a carer's eyes Lorraine Kember (2003) 130pp.ISBN 0 646 49969 6

As Janet Craven, palliative care nurse, and Andrew Dean, palliative care physician note in their respective forwards to this book, Lean on Me is a unique and intensely personal description of a writer's responses to her husband Brian's diagnosis, treatments and final death from mesothelioma. The book also provides useful discription of the nature of pain, the usefulness of certain drugs, and the ways in which keeping a journal can assist the medical practitioner in assessing pain management. The overarching narrative, however, is the progression of Brian's cancer, and his erratic but inevitable deterioration. Interspersed with poems and excerpts from Lorraine's diary, this is perhaps the most confronting aspect of the book, simply because it is so personal. While Brian's death is factually noted, Lorraine's description of the moment is emotionally conveyed in a short poem and diary entry. The book concludes with reflections written days, weeks and a year later, on Brian's presence, and her search for meaning and love in her changed life trajectory. this is indeed a compelling read, and a useful resource for both carers and practitioners.
